GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES

home        about       editions

The design studio explores local challenges with the eyes of a visitor from afar,  in a setting of cultural interchange of knowledge, ideas and visions

In Global Perspectives , master students of  the Faculty of Architecture and arts at Hasselt University collaborate with students from other parts of the world envisioning inspiring, positive futures for challenged sites and communities. Here, ideas are crystallized in the design of a series of acupunctural interventions to create connective places for people of all walks of life. The studio's ambitions lie in searching for an architecture that is regenerative and distributive, building upon local (hi)stories, human and natural riches.

Global Perspectives is a parallel design studio in which architecture peers from different countries tackle a shared site and situation. Focus is on cultural interchange of ideas, references, visions and design of local, climate responsive projects.

Every Global perspectives edition is named after the location(s) it designerly researches.
