THEORY & REFLECT STUDIO

Mix of lectures, exercises, workshops and discussions on the following topics:
Materials & circularity, Biodiversity and landscape, Sufficiency & lowtech design, Social aspects
4 class sessions of 8 hours (Fridays)
HANDS-ON ATELIER
8 ECTS
3 x 1-day excursions;
2 x 3-day hands-on workshops (hands-on techniques);
2 x 5-day excursions and workshops
DESIGN & RESEARCH STUDIO
10 ECTS
3 elective research tracks on A) earth construction, B) circular wood construction or C) social aspects result in the research-driven design of a small-scale real-life design&build project
14 class sessions of 8 hours (Fridays)
BUILDING PROJECT
9 ECTS
Realization of the small-scale self-designed/self-developed real-life project and on-site action and interaction with the local community, local stakeholders and building professionals
